The CHESS IRELAND games file gives O'Connell-Heidenfeld (round 9) as 1-0, but the tournament report gave a Black win, as do the ICU games archive, BritBase, and Big Database 2012. |

Only one player has ever scored 100% in winning the title of Irish champion (excluding championships decided by match): Paddy Kennedy in 1949. Colm Daly fell ½ point short of equalling the record, denied only by Mel Ó Cinnéide—nephew of Paddy Kennedy. |
