c6 is one of the strongest responses IMO. 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. e3 Ne4 5. Bf4 Qb6 6. Qc1 Bg4 7. Nbd2 Bxf3 8. Nxf3 Nd7 9. Be2 e6 10. O-O Be7 This seems fine for white, I was fairly happy. How quickly things go wrong. 11. c4 Presumably I needed to play h3 here. 11. h3 g5 12. Bh2 g4 13. hxg4. 12... h5 I eventually gave in and turned on the engine. White is fine here is they play h4. h3, not so much. 13. h3 g4 14. hxg4 hxg4 15. c5 Nxg3 16. fxg3 Qc7 17. Ne5 Nxe5 18. dxe5 Qxe5 19. Rf4 Bg5 20. Bxg4 Bxf4 21. gxf4 Qg7 22. Bf3 O-O-O 23. e4 dxe4 24. Bxe4 Qd4+ 0-1 Annotator(s): Damian Evans. Event information: Tournament report. |
