Notes
Match points versus game points The tournament booklet reported that "The meeting of the International Glorney Cup Committee was one of the most important ever held. The whole future of the event was discussed frankly and far reaching decisions were made. ... the committee decided in favour of the method of games total to arrive at the winning team in future." But did this change apply to the 1965 event, or only starting with the 1966 event?

The wording (particularly "in future") suggests that match points still applied in 1965. The tournament booklet gives tables in both formats, but with match points shown first. This report assumes that match points still applied.

However, the report in CHESS gives only game point totals, and the OlimpBase report follows ("It was at this tournament that the present rules were drafted and the switch to a games points winner made").
Colour assignments Wales had the same colour assignments on a given board for all three rounds.
